Can Flaxseeds Fight Breast Cancer?

A number of studies have attributed

a cancer protective effect to plant

hormones known as phytoestrogens.

One group of phytoestrogens known

as lignans are contained in seeds

especially flaxseeds

(or linseeds as they are often called). In a recent study women who ate a diet high

in lignans had a 40% lower mortality risk and a lower incidence of metastatis and

secondary tumours.
