Health Tests

“ Testing has been hugely helpful in enabling me to understand the causes of my health symptoms”

Get yourself checked out for common nutrient deficiencies

Why get tested?

If you're suffering from health problems such as anxiety or depression, digestive issues, tiredness, aches and pains, skin complaints, brain fog, headaches or intolerance to foods, then testing can be a really valuable way to uncover the root causes for the problems you are experiencing.

As we're all unique then there can often be multiple reasons underlying a particular health symptom. Tiredness for example could be caused by many factors including nutrient deficiencies of iron, B vitamins, magnesium, dehydration, food intolerances, poor liver or digestive function, thyroid or adrenal issues or chronic illness to name but a few.

The reasons why one person is tired can be completely different to those affecting someone else. Understanding the underlying factors contributing to a specific health problem can therefore enable personalised diet and lifestyle recommendations that are likely to be more effective at addressing your health issues

Private versus GP testing

A wide range of tests are available through your GP practice and where possible we will recommend that you use these for any tests that you require.

Sometimes though some types of tests are not readily available from your GP and it can be helpful to purchase such tests in these circumstances. We also offer a range of finger-prick tests that can be completed in the comfort of your own home, thus preventing the need to visit a GP surgery / hospital for a blood sample.

It is worth being aware that tests ordered by your doctor are usually looking for clinical imbalances and that 'normal' results do not necessarily indictate optimal function. We are happy to have a no-obligation chat with you to help you choose the most appropriate tests to help you to get to the bottom of your health issues
